What's on the next test? A guide to upcoming content

Always
Anything prominently featured in lecture or lab
Vocabulary that has been highlighted in lecture or lab. Note that the purpose here is not to add cramming material for the night before, but to reward mastery you should have achieved long ago (and to reinforce it one more time)
Old material from anything previously covered. This course is about learning and understanding--not shoving something into short-term memory for 24 hours. Note that I am particularly likely to feature topics where the past performance displeased me. In other words, the worse you did, the more likely you are to see it again.

Labs: The labs are places of serious teaching and learning. Just because something wasn't mentioned in lecture doesn't mean it won't be a big part of the next Big Check.

Note: these are guidelines; list is not guaranteed to be complete nor is anything on a list guaranteed to be on the test

BigCheck #1: Jan. 25 key to S11 exam [sequence, topics, treatment not always identical]
Commentary from last year
Your bubblesheet

BigCheck #2: Feb. 8 S11 exam [sequence, topics, treatment not always identical]
Commentary from last year

BigCheck #3: Feb. 22 S11 exam [Note: topic coverage & order very different this year; in particular we will cover much of hemoglobin in lab next exam; ditto pH, and we may not cover the stuff about the transcription factor curves at all this year; of course, OTHER stuff has taken the place of this material]. Similarly, some material is from S11 exam #4

BigCheck #4: Mar. 9 [for old exams, see those under Big3 above]

BigCheck #5 (Apr. 4). This one covers a lot of ground, some distant. Make sure you're studying in appropriate ways. Remember, Bruce office/discussion times are linked from 'Bruce' on the front page, as are Supplemental Instructors & their sessions S11 exam #5

BigCheck #6 (Apr. 18) S11 exam

Final exam (May 9 @ 1:00, BSW301) S11 Final

Accumulated vocabulary (only up to date if I remember/am reminded)

The good old days: how it was in 2011 (warning: much has changed; this is just FYI)
